Voice of the Discombobulated Chicken Slohb Robots aka WHYP, 6874.8 AM, 2243 -some live music, dunno who. JB fiddling with the fidelity, sounding good. ID’ing as the Voice of the Discombobulated Chicken Slohb Robots. More music then a bunch of 125 Hz tones at 2256, with harmonics, then QRT. Hope JB ain’t smokin’ resistors again [...] Radio Ronin Shortwave, 6950.6v AM, 1659 – weak signal here at high noon in Disgraceland, but a nice peak at tune in with Steve Miller, and then a Radio Ronin Shortwave ID heard at 1704. Outhouse Radio, 6925.6 AM, 1835 – very threshold audio, was able to verify I Want To Hold Your Hands bu the Beatles at tune-in. Minor peak at 1916 UT with Iron Man! I am ID’ing this as Outhouse the prolific. WHYP Pirate Shortwave, 6874.8 AM, 0000 – Tune in to I Shot the Sheriff. Excellent show with Kracker joining JD for another awesome broadcast. Hard Tack Radio, 6925 USB, 0002 – another one of those awesome theme-based broadcasts, featuring old Civil War era songs like Goober Peas, Bonnie Blue Flag, Battle Hymn of the Republic. Awesome! Fingers crossed that a QSL eventually arrives for this one! Radio Ga-Ga, 6925 USB, 2118 – threshold audio, bubbling along just above noise floor. Was able to distinguish Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder at 2118 and SSTV at 2133. Want to see the awesome SSTV image I could decode? OK: WHYP Shortwave, 6874.77 AM, 0020 – fair signal this evening, JB playing rock music. Still going stong past 0200 UT. UnID, 6935 AM, *2255-2332* – never caught an ID from this station, featuring mostly Devo songs. |
